LO2: Opening title sequence has been added and the opening sequence edited and extended meaning that the first 54 seconds are locked. Shot of girl running and looking up has changed to just the girl looking up- this change was made as the shot was designed for a 3D character and having the character run in perspective would take more time than I can afford on that shot. End sequence roughly edited with playblasts and render cashes by Alister. I also added a white exposure after close up of solace to give the animation a chance to breath before diving back into the story. LO2: Shot 1 fully comped and dissolving into shot 3 works really well. Defiantly removing shot 2. Camera shot up to Draco fully rendered and timed out. LO5: End sequence changed: Alister brought up the question of why was shot 45 a complicated northern lights but the last shot very simple. We decided to swap the Northern lights and have the simpler northern lights to be realised by Draco and girl flying past camera. As these shots are created whey will be added to the edit but I can already see that this new edit will be a far stronger ending visually and via narrative. LO2: Further updates Opening shot has a rough comp of ink reveals. I edited this to dissolve into shot 3 removing shot 2. I think this create a cleaner edit and sequence and allows the story to flow. This also means that this shot doesn't need to be completed as there was still a lot of work to be done to it before completed. LO2: Animatic fully blocked out to lock timing of animation further. LO6: This will aid the music and sound designers to create cleaner edits of audio. Will also provide reference for background artist as she can now see how all the characters move across screen. LO2: Updated animatic; Shot 2 simulation added but speed up to 3s to fit timings. close up of eye cut short- the eye revolved too far so last frames removed. Shot 34 extended as other shots in sequence are cut to create a 15 second shot showing a great deal of character interaction and power play. LO2: Animatic containing comped shots. Now animatic can also be used to test continuity in backgrounds and other visual features LO2: A new animatic with new shots added. Shot 44 blocked in requires reanimating- at the moment holding position till reanimated. LO2: the entrance of Draco was re worked and cut to enhance his performance, the sequence and audience impact. Sequence edited to have; tail move, then eye move, then head before moving off camera. |
